finally...the pictures...

well...here it is...i've been working on it since i acquired
it with the help of StuMc last October...it's finally finished
(are they ever REALLY finished?)...i showed it this past
weekend at Eurofest Nashville and did quite well...

1990 325is...126k...5-speed...build date 8/89...schwarz
with black leather...purchased from the original owner
in Maggie Valley, NC...the car was actually used as a
factory executive car until '92...it then ended up at Athens
BMW in GA as an untitled program car with 3k miles...
though the car is a 1990, it does not have airbag--i've
been told that makes it fairly rare...it also has the map
light rearview mirror...

i've got all records and receipts...the car was in excellent
condition when i acquired it, but it did need a little TLC...
overall, the car was extensively cleaned and detailed, the
seats were pulled, carpet shampooed, paint was compounded
and buffed with a wheel...over the course of the last 3-4 months
the following has been replaced and/or added:

> 9 x 16 Brock B1s with 225/45/16 Yokohama ES100s
> Ground Control Coilover Kit with Eibach Springs and
Bilstein Sports
> RTRS front camber plates and rear shock mounts
> Treehouse Racing CABs
> EAT performance chip
> K & N cone filter

> Hella Euro Ellipsoids
> Clear Bumper Lenses
> New Foglights
> Clear Side Repeaters
> Euro Bumper Mouldings
> AC Schnitzer Front Spoiler
> Zender Skirts
> New iS Rear Spoiler
> M3 Style Mirrors
> ...and a bunch of other stuff like shift knob,
shift boot, front grills, side mouldings, etc...

Jon at Treehouse Racing did alot of the
work on the car (check out the latest Roundel...
Jon got some press in the Club Racing article)

I'm convinced that it is just about the nicest
e30 that i have ever seen...the paint is just
about perfect and shines like a 2-3 year old
car...pretty amazing for a car that's about to
turn 15...it looks real good next to my 90 535i
5 speed...

I was going to say that when I first saw them, but they actually look good on that car. It depends on the styling.

What kind of p'shopping did you do on the car? It does not seem exactly real at times. :?

But I imagine it is awesome. And the wheels. They are the tits.

EDIT:

Side mirros look OK, but from the back I think in that top pick they do not seem to fit with the car. I can't describe it, but something is not completely right.

i'm going to shoot more pics this weekend and show a little
more detail...

i really like the M3 style mirrors alot more than the factory
flags...i was really trying to replicate the look of my e34...

i didn't really do any photoshopping on the car itself--i just
adjusted the contrast a bit in 'variations' to bring out some
of the detail since the picture started out kind of dark...i
did darken the windows since there was quite a bit of glare
on them...

i like it much better than the e39 i used to have--and it
was SEX...2000 528it...5 speed...black on black...i added
the full factory aerodynamic package and staggered 18"
polished BBS RCs...$$$...but the car was boring, so i sold
it and bought this 325is...

my e34 and e30 are much more interesting cars than
anything that BMW has made in the last 10 years...
