I think it looks more like someone who owned a vw or likes old school vw's, which again is not a bad thing. Mk2 jettas had the same stying theme, black flares and bumpers.Comment

Either gloss the wheels, or matte the flares,
Either way would clean it up allot.
I really like what you're doing with the car

Well I just finished putting the wheels back to silver and I refinished the mirrors, looks snazzy, we'll see how the re-clearing goes this weekend. I will post a step by step if it comes out well.
