Holy shit man. When I see that stuff I always think first "geez, I wonder how much he dropped on just the engine!" I'd hope they get them out of wrecked cars.

It's a know fact. Pain and simple. If you install something other than a M20 or a S14 it will completely upset the handling of an e30. I put a m30 (a BIG six from a 635csi) into my car and I don't even take corners anymore. There is a grocery around the corner, and one down the street. Guess what one I go to? It's that bad.
First thing I did after my motor swap is install a BBK - but only in the rear. I found that my car was so nose heavy that they rear breaks were not getting enough "bite" into the calipers as they use to. After installing the rear BBK, I love it - I can actually stop the thing. As before, it was nail bighting to be behind a SUV. Those fuckers stop FAST!
Next thing I know it rained. I almost wiped out a few times going to my favorite restaurant. Thank god I was alone in the car. Solution? I got some bags of concrete mix and threw then in the trunk. So far so good. It's about 350 pounds of stuff back there. I think I used the pre-mixed stuff. The stuff with rocks and shit in it. I think that makes a difference. So if you get the just concrete shit - it might not work for you - I recommend the per mix stuff..
A buddy of mine suggested that I go to cost-co and get my front tires filled with hydrogen, he says that in chem class he learned it makes them much lighter - most shops fill them with pure oxygen - and we all know that oxygen is heaver then hydrogen. Duh - ever see that blimp that blew up a few years ago (forget how long - it's old and shit)
I feel dumb as hell if I put a v12 motor in my car. I'd need bigger tires!! At least to get more hydrogen in them to offset the weight.
Well - I've researched this a lot - so I know what I am taking about.
...
Ohz LOL - BTW - a v12 Al block is less than a m20 - by alot.Last edited by george graves; 12-12-2007, 01:59 AM.Originally posted by Matt-Bhey does anyone know anyone who gets upset and makes electronics?

If not, will putting the ls1 in my car completely destory the handling?

Getting purists panties in a knot since 2007. ;)

Because everyone and their mother say that putting an extra 20 lbs of weight on the nose is so detrimental to handling!!!!! When the people that complain about it have no fucking clue on the matter and generally have sloppy as fuck suspension with way too soft springs (even for serious handling with a "light" m20). FYI, an M20 isn't light at all.
BTW, George, that post made me lol. Thanks.
