when i worked @ a subaru dealership there was a '97 540i 6-speed in the used lot... i tried to buy it, but it was 1 year too old to get financing. so instead i took it to lunch whenever possible. that fucker got up and went, and that tranny is a gem.

It's funny, my buddy has a black 330i with the exact same wheels, we'll have to get a photo of the two sometime.

car looks really nice. What is the average price for e39s these days in the U.S.? they are getting really cheap over here these days, but almost none are the 540s.

Very nice 540, Ryan! I'm usually only into black, white, and silver cars, but I like that blue...

Mike-yeah, the E30 has been coming along, just slowly. I'm actually really close. I got the intake manifold on a couple of days ago. I'm off work today so I'm going to try and find someone to weld my selector rod for me.

I normally work about 60 hours per week, so it leaves little time to work on the E30, but at least allows me to buy new toys. :)

Dan-yup, still got the jeep...for now at least. I've gotta sell it though. I've now got my three cars, plus my two roommates cars parked in front of my house. It looks like a damn parking lot.

Yeah we love e39's in my family too, dad just sold his 97 528i today and within the last two weeks he purchased a 2001 530i Sport and a 1999 528i Sport.

And Mike, you asked about the E30, here's how she sits...she's close! Got the shifter, driveshaft, and throttle hooked up yesterday...shifts just a bit tighter than the E39 :)
