Soo how did you like the E30 M3 springs when you had them on it? I want a little bit more low for my 318 and I have H&R Sports on mine right now and I like the way she sits but I don't love it.

How did it fair with the oil pan and the IS lip? I don't really scrape much with the sports and feel I can go lower

The e30 M3 H&R sports are perfect for a 318is, If you want it a little lower in the front get some drop hats, I drove one like that everyday for 2 yrs

Just wanted more power, nearly a 50% increase will be nice
I put a chip and underdrive pulleys on it using an e30 m3 exhaust, should run pretty good

Im using the stock m42(sachs sport) clutch/flywheel for now as my m20 one needed to be machined more and I wanted to get it together over the weekend
Im thinking a light flywheel will make a big difference
I cant wait to just get it running and driving again

Ug. I hear ya. Something always makes me cringe a little at hearing about another 318is swaped car.. like don't get me wrong though because I dream of it too with my car..

forgive if this is a dumb question, but are you using the g240?

Yeah with the 240 you only move the trans bracket back 55mm

Don't get me wrong I love the m42, just wanted to make it easier to do a skid hahaha

                          so another year goes by

                          Some back story

                          ...Donor...

I've been living in Australia so my car in the states has just pretty much sat for the past 3 years but im back now for 8 months or so.
Before I left last year I realized the head gasket on the m50 was blown(no wonder the e34 was free haha) so now that I'm back I'm determined to get the car done finally.

As of now its up and running. I've got the cams swapped(non vanos intake cam on the exhaust side and a s50 exhaust cam on the intake), ghetto fabulous intake, uuc under drive pulleys, head has been milled 0.005 with stock thickness gasket, valves and seats have been touched up, e30 m3 complete exhaust, e34 downpipes. I need to have VAC tune it. Still has the little getrag 240 and small case diff, spal E fan in front on the radiator
Id like to put some headers on it, build a proper intake(low slung one down by the brake duct) and do an m20 clutch setup and call it good.
Prob be putting oem subframe and trailing arm bushings back in as the urethane ones are too harsh IMO.

Been cleaning up the wiring over the past few nights and running the car up and down the road it feels pretty strong
