i wouldnt do that shit in a 318... i had a 94 318i and wanted to play one night after work a little bit (fuck i was bored and the itch do some donuts). Popped the clutch and blew the rear end. all stock. 318s are shitty.

granted thats an e30, but your still an idiot so i'd be more careful.

i've had 5 bmws, 3 e36's and 2 e30s, one of the e36's was a 318 and i had more problems out of that pile of crap then anything else i've owned so far. mileage was high, granted, but the mileage was high on all my cars, and i put them all through absolute t-total hell and back. they all had their various problems but blowing the rear end from one hard sidestep of the clutch was retarded. I mean literally blowing it, spit the axles out and locked up. showed no signs of wear before it happened either, no odd noises or nothing. I'm sure they are great cars to just drive around and have but it definetly wasnt a good car for me. Broke too easily. (and don't tell me the rear end was the same, i replaced it with one from a 325i and it felt alot beefier, as did the axles.)
