Those small M badges are actually a stock piece. If you look in many of the old "option catalogs" it shows a variety of them being advertised as an accent on the car. There was one for the back, that is more commonly found on the 325es and then those small M badges in front are usually found on 318is's. Seen 6 cars with them and if they look like shit close up, it is because they are stock.
