New here, check out my 327i

Hi guys. Been on the 'Tech for a while, been hearing a lot about r3v so here I am. Anyway, the car is a 1987 325 that my father bought a couple years ago and ended up giving to me after my '85 535i turbo (built m30b35 + 745i setup...never again running motronic w/ a turbo) bit the dust. After selling off the turbo setup and wheels from the 5, I bought a pretty much full IE suspension setup (springs, billy hds, strut bar, 21/19 sways, bushings etc), and my wheels. Ran it like that for around a year and just recently I was able to rebuild my motor with SETA pistons, brand spankin new spanish 885 casting, 24lb injectors (I know they're oversized for the motor, but I had em lying around), and a billet cartech rrfpr. I have a turbo setup lined up for the summer which includes a Holset hx40, cheapo ebay manifold, fmic etc. Right now im just looking for a good deal on MS2. Here are some old pics from last year before the springs even settled. Oh and if any of you are wondering, I'm not some snot nosed brat. Yes, the car was given to me, but I worked all through high school and do all the work myself. I'm just lucky to have a generous father who loves BMWs as much as I do. ;)

and a picture of my old turbo 5 for good measure

Like the ATS Lites. They are nice wheels. Hard to find these days. What is the offset and size?

Don't have any better pics, but they are ATS dtc superlights, 15x8, I believe et15 or et10. I have 5mm spacers in the front, 10 in the rear. These pics really dont do the car justice, as the lighting sucks and you cant see the stretch on the wheels (or the spacing for that matter). heres the link to tunershop. http://www.tunershop.com/Wheels/15_i...3x_p27964.html

Yeah, agreed. I'd love some light a** wheels with a nice lip, but these are the lightest 15 in wheels I've seen recently.

That is an eeeevvvill project my dad is working on. 1977 e21 w/ LS1 and six speed. He completely reworked the firewall and now the ENTIRE engine sits behind the front axle...its basically mid-engined. The car is built, it just needs to be finished...ie run all wires and brake lines, rebuild the motor, drop it in and go.

                    Nice , sounds badass .

Is he swapping in another rear subframe/rear control arm set-up ?

I believe he is using a e30 subframe with an audi locker rearend...but I'm not too sure. I haven't seen him work on it in a while and the details may have changed. Thats more of the side project. His DD is a custom fabbed rear mount turbo '87 325. I'll try to find pics of that one too. He had it all done, and then a coolant hose let go at Lime Rock. Motor was cooked, but its all back together now and I think he should have it running this weekend.

Pops sounds like a cool guy with some sweet projects .

I saw that MZ3 diff under there and figured he had something gong on back there .
A lot of custom E21's use a modified E28 rear subframe/diff/suspension so its cool that he's going another route .......to bad he's keeping the semi-trailing arm set-up though .

To tell you the truth, I really don't know what he's using. I remember that the e30 'frame was up there for a while, but I know he changed some things around. I'll grab a bunch of picks of all three cars (mine and his two) when I go home for break in late Feb.

On a slightly stranger note, I was born in Suffern.

They used to sell in proper E30 offsets and in larger sizes. That must be the remaining stock of what is left.
