    Pre-Stasis warm up.

Yup yup.... '08 season is ON! NOPI Qualifier next weekend @ Moroso, we all got a chance to test and tune. (In my case, test and break)

No, I could not get the car painted on time. No, it won't be on until next week. Yes, the cage changes the car completely. Yes E-Rich, same damn track AGAIN. Yes, those are SSR SP1Rs in the back. :)

All in all, I had an "off" day. Bald front tires, a cage that makes a world of a difference in handling, and no e-brake anymore made for a "challenging" day.

In either case, I got featured by a TV show called "Extreme Obsessions" or something like that. Cool guys, it should air on Dish Network. It will be like a 10 minute feature so I am excited to see how that will turn out!!!

I'll let TJ start his own thread when he gets his magic stuff going.

So next weekend is Nopi in West Palm? And what did you end up breaking?

E-brake was fixed........for a second and it broke again. I think I snapped the cables this time.

My motor mount caught fire. I am thinking the heatshield for it fell off or something and the heat from the 666 adapter just fried the mount right then and there.

I blew a piece off my throttle body out (one of the vacuum elbows for the brake booster hose) and had to drive home with a MASSIVE vacuum leak past the TB. (4000rpm idle was awsome)

        That aside.... not much really.

All said and done, I still gotta thank my sponsors for helping me make this happen:

KO Performance - For the OEM parts

Ireland Engineering - For the performance parts

and Stasis Productions - For the FIRE media. :)

The track is 30 mins away and events happen there every month. It's hard to stay away from it. Being what it is, it's still a great place to practice. With no ebrake today, I can tell you I learned a lot about the center and left pedal.

            But I had my moments.

On the turn around picture with the Miata, I passed him hardcore as he went way wide past the cone. :D I felt like an a**hole afterwards, but it worked out perfectly. It was like we switched spots and kept going without a car length to spare.

I heard about the wing. I test fitted my boy's R32 wing on my car before putting on the Zender. It's baller status.

The cage stiffens up the car so much. I know the bald tires played a role in this as well, but the car was straight up understeering way too much. My clutch hated me with the amount of clutch kicks I had to do.

I played around with my settings to a point where I had 55psi on the rear tires, 35psi on the fronts, shocks full stiff on the rear and full soft on the front.... and THEN I started to have some fun. On my last run I was carrying a stupid amount of speed.

I gotta pick up a pair of fresh rubber for the fronts this week, stat!! And I need new mounts.. motor and tranny, like yesterday!

ya we got a banked oval track about 20-30 min away from me that has test and tunes every thursday for 20 bucks...im gonna be there as much as possible!

ive never used e brake for drifting. ive learned the hard way by entereing faster with more momentum and hard clutch kicks..lol..hopefully with my new rear bushings, front control arms with m3 bushings and my swap i should be able to control my shit a little better. i think im gonna run a welded diff as well.

that setup sounds pretty crazy. stiff ass setup..sounds kinda like mine minus the 55 psi..lol. as far as the bushings...i think you may have a hook up for that..lol you running stock mounts or poly? what tires you gonna run?
