    New Member Introduction

    Hey Guys,

Just a warning, this is my first post on my first forum - Please keep the lashes to a minimum. My BMW history includes an 83 320i 5spd (first car, just learning), 93 318i 5spd (experimentation car, I really deserved an ass kicking for doing all those stupid things), 97 540i 6spd (just a wonderful car, only mod I am considering is selling it to buy an e39 M5), and finally my 87 325is 5spd (weekend toy, just following you guys for inspiration). In the few months of owning the e30 a few things I have completed include a basic tune up and full detail, finally gotten all the lights to work, and swapped in a used trans(and short shifter of course) that still has a 3rd gear.

Finally, after soaking up as much of your combined knowledge as possible, I have decided to do a suspension overhaul, so here is what I have arriving next week:

IE Stage 3 Race Springs Set, Bilstein Sport Shocks, New Control Arms, THR Eyeball Arms, IE 25/22 Adjsutable Sway Bar Set, Billet Rear Shock Tower Mount Set, Adjustable Street & Track Camber Plates, Racing Urethane Rear Subframe Bushings, Urethane Rear Trailing Arm Bushings, Stainless Brake Lines Set, Urethane Engine Mounts, Urethane Transmission Mounts, and a Urethane Differential Bushing.

After I see how this suspension sits wheels will be next, and I definitely see a plastic bumper swap on the way. Who knows after that. Thanks everyone for making the information available, I hope someday soon I can contribute back.

          Welcome!
Sounds like you are doing some good work.
Please don't put plastic bumpers on it though. Go buy a plastic bumpered car first.
          Yours truly,
          Rich

Not bad, with some decent tires, that thing should stick to the road like nobody's business.

Jesus, you car is going to be stiff... My guess is too stiff for the street, but you never know.

No need, r3vlimited already knows everything there is to know. You just need to develop an attitude and you'll be all set.
