A little side project...

I picked up another set of smoked headlights, so i started playing around with spare parts.

I painted a spare grill Ultra flat black, and the kidneys just regular black. I think i might spray the slats a 3rd shade of black since i hate how they turn grey 15 seconds after you wash the car, an i don't want that shiney armoral look. I think i'm going to throw this on the M5 until my new hood arrives and everything gets back from the paint shop nice and fresh. this way i'll do something different for a little while, and not have the car down for any period of time while the origional grill gets re-done.

I still need to remove the amber part of the blinker, and i think i might do something with the M5 badge to make it a little less shiney.

scott - yes i know, this is how i got them, but i've got a small junk yard of associated smiley parts, so i'll just scavange a bit. I'll paint them to match the kidney though.

brandon - no more pics until it's on the car. maybe this weekend, taking the E34 appart is a bitch.

M42 - just the fender that's fucked up, a new bumper with an alpina B10 spoiler, and the kidney section. the hood will be silver but still be able to see the material construction underneath when you look up close :)

iL Duce - those are going on my 5 lug E30, they are 1 piece ACT 16x8.5 and 16x9.5 my bathroom scale says they are both 18lbs which is pretty cool in my opinion.
