    Back into an E30

Just picked up an 87 325 ES 2dr 5spd Black with Red leather.
It has some hail damage and the front seats need redone the driver more than the passenger but the paint is in good condition and seems to have no rust.

195,000 on the odometer..... power windows and sunroof.

So far I love it, it was nice to get back into a BMW..

Few things when it cranks it sounds like a truck cranking though. Then after its warmed up it revs at idle ((surges))

But on the 35 mile drive back it seemed great and pulled hard. I think it might have a tune though as it doesnt stop at redline... :( noticed that a little past 6800rpm

    Pics BELOW!!!!

Hopefully I will have this one longer and post more!

I guess the enthousiasts and senior citizen owners are starting to make them available to the younger crown.

Suspect for why it is surging while at idle...there is no cap on the overflow container

no I meant the car I have has one...

Ive been doing a little more reading on the ES to see whats different.
But apparently you can swap IS parts over to improve performance?

nice man.. whats the build date on that car? My eS is an 87 with a mid 86 build date if I remember, it had the same color combo and options as yours.

That's an iS front lip. eS had only 2 slots in the bottom of it instead of four.
