    Getting closer.

Well, since it seems that Spring is here, I am finally motivated to get this thing done and start driving it again. Before today, it had been sitting on jack stands for almost a year. I turned the key, and it fired right up after sitting for a long time. I pulled it out to clean it up a bit, and get my garage as clean as possible. My friend will be priming and painting it in my garage.

Hopefully I can get a bunch of things done this week. It still needs more blocking and some random things before it's ready to be painted. The door locks, windshield sprayers and hood roundel have been eliminated. My friend that will be spraying it welded some sheet metal in the holes, and then skim coated them with glazing putty. Once we get it primed, we'll be able to see how good of a job has been done.

Go easy on me about my sanding abilities...

The car will be schwarz again. I toyed with the idea of byzanz or estoril or something different, but I decided that it would just be different, and not all that attractive. I then wanted to do diamontschwarz or carbonschwarz, but I already have way too many hours in to this project and I don't want to take the time to prep and paint the engine bay, inside of teh trunk, door jambs etc.

Thanks, I really like the skirts too. I added those and the mtech1 spoiler, euro bumper trim and license plate filler. I've got an is lip and Ryan G splitter up front.

I say it looks good. but if you spent all that time, money and effort I would take the time to spray the door jams and trunk area.
its going to take maybe 1 more qt of paint to do it and it will look so much better when you open your doors.

I removed the roundel on the hood because I think it looks better without it.

                            The spoiler is mtech1.
