    My 88 325is

The car was dirty and it was raining but I had the camera in my pocket and remembered I had never made an introduction thread so..................

I picked this car up last november. Bone stock and unmodified. I have installed IE3's and Billy Sports, some HID's and that is about it. I had to replace the water pump the first day I bought it but that was it.

That is a MK3 Jetta front lip installed upside down. The wheels are BBS RZ's off a Corrado G60. 15mm spacer in the rear and 10mm up front. I kinda hate the wheels....maybe not hate but I am definatley very bored with them. I need to make up some custom spacers so I can fit my panasports on, I think that will make me happier.

If it stops raining long enough I am going to tuck the bumpers today (finally).

Plans for the car? Not much. I have a M20B27 sitting on an engine stand and SETA pistons and rods in a box under the coffee table. Add one of my spare MS units to that and I think I have the makings of a nice 2.7i motor.

I have been building cars for the last 16 years or so, the last decade was spent making VW rabbits as fast as I could.

So yeah, The names Trent and this is my car.

Nice start, but i dont think the panasports are gonna look better than the current wheels. Those wheels look like regular weaves to me. you sure they're RZs?

They are definatley G60 RZ's. I have had them longer than I have owned the BMW.

I had the panasports on for a while and loved 'em but the tires were a bit too small (195/50's) and the RZ's had at least 205/50's on them.

I think my issue with the RZ's is they make it look just like every other E30 out there. I am bored with them.

I just tucked the front bumper 1.25" Looks much better. The rear will follow soon.

+1, I have the same car lachssilber metallic, dumped the diving boards for the plastic bumpers and as far as wanting to be different, I totally understand., everyone seems to have the same car with all of these mods but as far as looks go, all of them end up looking the same, I don't get that ........good start bro.

I'm with you bro, I think being a little different is a good thing. Everyone tends to lower their car, put some sort of bigger stock looking wheel, put in some hid's and a light tint.

They all look the same when it gets to that point and by then the owners begin their search for euro smoked smileys or euro smileys.

So as far as I'm concerned you are in every way justified in wanting to be different. I like the panasports and you should really get some decent tires and put them on.

                        Sweet car.

Nice whip Trent. Love 88's, thats what mine is. I definately know the feeling of trying not to look like other e30's on the road. Sometimes it works to your benefit though. :P

You gonna stop by the lil meet in Springfield on the 26th? There is a thread about it in the Pacific Northwest region.
