Paint process has begun!

Spent the other night stripping the car to get it ready for the body work.

Here are some pictures





Here is the condition of the paint


Going with a darker shade of gray with some pearl in it.

What I've added to get it ready for paint, plastic bumper conversion with reiger infinity replica lip, is style side skirts and mtec2 rear lower valance.

Going to be installing the turbo setup within a couple weeks and a set of eibachs :)

I'll update this thread as the work progresses.

what's wrong with the current paint? have you tried a cut and polish? either way, sounds like your new paint will be real nice.

Budget is 3 grand plus another $600 or so invested in the bumpers skirts and valances. I'm getting a 4-5g paintjob for 3gs cause I know the owner and am doing all the stripping and "bitch" work myself.

I'm taking care of some rust starting on the inside of the doors and the lip of the 1/4 panels and the clear is basically peeling off the trunk roof and hood.

It's called Tungsten Grey Metallic code T8 or 32P on Mazdas.

They've started the body work, I'll get some picture updates for tonight.

The paint already looked okay to me. But the pics werent the best quality. Its gonna look real after its done tho.

Yeah I know my interior is getting trashed, will detail it once they're done.

Gonna drop off a bottle of Crown to keep the body guys happy tomorrow, just gotta hope they don't drink too much while working on the car.
