Nice Matt. Thx for the cell-phone update on that as well.
Any way to go black and leave a polished mini-lip? :P
Go black or go home I say.
WTF discs are those? What is your rear 5-lug from? Aren't those brakes REDICULOUS? I have taken mine in the coastal twisties a few times for a run and they just don't even get phased by the heat, and the raw power on those versus stock is simply grin-forming. Words of caution: Any time you drive someone else's car after being in that one, watch out, hit the brakes earlier! I get too comfortable carrying speed longer with those brakes on my car. Whoooops.
Can't wait to see the progress in a few weeks at the 'fest.
the 44s actually don't look half bad (sans the lack of iS lip in the first pic haha). for the money though, they are decent looking wheels on e36's (and apparently on e30's too)
It's got the motor and the brakes, close enough. :)
Finally finished my 5 lug conversion using 97 M3 front brakes, they are amazing! I know some may not be a fan of the wheels but they are 17x8 E46 Style 44 wheels with 225/45 tires on them. I am going to run them long enough to wear out the tires and upgrade to something better. For the budget I am on and the price I paid for the wheels, I can't complain.
When I look at this pic all I can think of is this:
But those brakes are fuckin huge, so it works since you gotta do what ya gotta do to clear those rotors. Not a big fan of the wheels, but it's a start. Throw some CSL's on that beetch if you're gonna pimp BMW wheels ;)
