some pics and a video from the first auto-x of the year

this was my first race in the e30, and my 2nd auto-x ever! i guess it went ok... i expected better from myself, but my e30 did good. except for the steering! stupid e30 racks, 4 turns lock to lock is a joke.:hitler: i ended up placing 6th place out of 12 people in sts. all in all the car did good, it basically did exactly what i told it to except for through the slalom, my power steering would stop working cause i didnt have enough fluid in the resevour, thats another thing that set me back a few 10ths of a second. i think i am going to trade off for a z3 steering rack, replace almost all of my cooling system, and install my super charger:D (im sure the SC will make me slower on the auto-x track, but i diont care). there was another e30 there too, a gray eta. i didnt get a chance to talk to the guy though.

heres 4 pages of pics: http://dleshermedia.homedns.org/gall...g2_itemId=6548

and a video (autocrosses always look so slow on video!):
this is me at the first mbrscca solo of the '08 season. it took place at pennstate behrend college. my mods include: RE rsm's,H&R race springs, Bilstien spor...

COOL PICS mayn! oh, and nice vid! small track? it looks like lots of fun! how many cars were racing that day?

    I noticed:
lots of body roll, no sways? what kind of tires and pressure were you running that day? try smaller wheels, so it's lighter 'cuz your wheels looks heavy, but they're nice looking. I can't wait for the wheels that are being made special for our e30s; they have 15x7.5 +22 offset or something and it's 10-11lbs, that's perfect for STS class in auto-x races; http://www.r3vlimited.com/board/showthread.php?t=104599

check out the fun we had a couple of weekends ago:

yeah no sways... any recommendations? i was running bfg g-force sports at about 35psi, i think the fronts could have used some more pressure. the wheels i am running are 16x8 rota slipstreams, about 18-19lbs. each. my mods are listed in the youtube video.

edit: just looked at your pics, very nice! that track was huge!
