But i got a question about the "merc". When did people start to call them merc's? Merc is short for Mercury. I've allways heard Mercedes Benz called, Mercedes, Benz, MB, or just Mercedes Benz. But never Merc.

I call them Merc's. Since the Mercury brand doesnt exist to me and Ive always been around German cars it didnt occur to me.
