Yeah, it sucks big time. I was hoping Chris wouldn't find out but there is no hiding from the internet. How is he doing? He is in AZ right? I'll send him some pics to his email if he wants them.

Thanks for all the encouragement!!! My mechanic said we are going to run OBD I. I was helping him prep the engine for removal yesterday.

I am checking out the 325i tomarrow morning and taking cash with me just in case. What should I look for?

    Working top
    Rust
    cracks on dash

I am kinda bummed out that it has a brown top...are hard tops available?

You will want to convert it to run on OBD1 if swapping into the E30.

Check the 24V section for info on it!

Dont be too discouraged that you bought a auto, you will have to swap in the pedal box and a few other parts.

    Welcome!
Both your old cars good looking!
Or he could run it OBD2 as well...

Thanks for all the comments guys!! I appreciate ALL your feedback. I am going to look at the vert and Saturday. I think I may offer 1.5-1.8k. I think I see a little rust on the right rear fender??

I heard the auto to manual swap isn't that hard or expensive. I have a buddy helping me out with this swap. If you guys see any E30's please send me info as I am still looking. Thanks!

I say do it. The price is pretty decent. Just make sure the top is in good working order. No leaks etc..

Price is not too bad, depending on service records and maintenance. You'll love the vert, especially with heated seats. Plan on some upholstry work and a new top soon. Go for it!!!!!!
