arm rest / cupholder installed ! (pics)

so Leven (ZM_Blue_Devil) said he can install it with his eye closed

    on to the project -

install the first supporting plate under the emergency brake bolt (we cut the carpet a little)

then we take a little brake as Levent has to answer 3 million phone calls and e-mails

drill the plastic emergency brake cover to install the metal bracket

    install the seconf supporting arm

metal reinforce plate on the inside

install the central support piece (goes under the actual arm rest)

    and.....

it's all done and installed !

looks great, thanks Levent !

PS No project-end celebration today, we reserved it for Thursday :drink:

I was wondering why he wasn't answering any of my emails. So, you've got him working for you now, huh?

Does yours slide back and forth too easily? I found a used one and the damn thing slides forward every time I brake and flies back every time I accelerate. Haven't really looked into a way to tighten it but I'm guessing the central support piece is bent a little.

I have one in my cabrio and can't live without it, so much so that I just bought another one for my new ETA DD.

Looks good Vlad! And Levent, nice to put a face to your emails. :D

I hated mine. That thing was way too in the way of my lankey arms.

Just use some pliers and pinch the slide rail a little.. it's easy

it can be adjusted. In fact there is an insert in the box which tells you to open or close the metal bracket to adjust it. Pm me your fax and I'll send it to you.

I may have more of these new in the box, I know someone who had/has a stash. I'll find out.
