So it's been almost a year and here is a list of things that have failed so far:

radiator - replaced with water pump
      driveshaft - replaced with guibo
tires - rear ones went first lol , then front one and took the fender liner and temp sensor with it (just replaced the driver side fender liner / brake duct under bumper shield earlier today).

Latest issue just came up almost sounds like a starter noise on start up, have to turn the key off the ignition very quickly otherwise it "grinds".

Very cool, 1 or 1,265 if I'm not mistaken. It's amazing how much bigger these feel (in the good sense) than their predecessor.

A drop wouldn't hurt though. Maybe a VFE supercharger. :D

good find. yeah the maintenance on it is pretty pricey at times, especially when you don't do the work yourself. other than that, it's a blast to drive. my dad loves his.

What a gem man! My neighbor has one of these beauties (I don't think it's a manual though but it could be :P)

                      A side question:
Will those newer steering wheels (IE. The one pictured by the OP) fit on e30's they look sooooooo dope.

Looks nice. 540is sound pretty badass, and the Mtech bodywork makes it look the part too. Expensive to maintain, though....

lol recirculating ball steering and no LSD

Other than that it's fucking brilliantly awesome. What do you mean by "tire failing," did it literally disintegrate for no reason or did you just start to get flats?
