Thanks for the compliments guys, but I believe the lip is going white. I am going to try to have it painted before I leave, but not sure there's time just yet.

Eesh. I don't know how well fresh paint will hold up over 3000 miles. If you do paint it, you should clear bra it or painters tape it before you leave.

I do believe the purist mafia would be on their way here to shoot me if I had cut up a legit Alpina lip. :p

It's an Eurostop lip. I worked on the lip some more and got the fitment pretty acceptable. My valance is beyond bent though, so there are gaps around the brake ducts that I probably wont be able to easily overcome.

/\ My valance had some small bends in it so I didnt want to half mount it cause I would have glued it to the car or something. When I test fit on a pristine valance it fit pretty good though.

I got a 740i (volvo lip yesterday with smonkbmw at the parts yard) and that is going on the new valance instead

Cool. I had no remorse in custom fitting this lip :) I am pretty sure that the way I mounted it, it won't be coming off.
