woke up quick, had a red bull, thought i had nothing to do, so a tank of gas, 80 euro in my pocket, i headed out to the Mecca of all that is automotive! Photos for your pleasure. I also have a Video but need to post in on youtube or something so i can link it here.

trying to con the dude into letting me ride with him. no go :(

got pulled over by the POLICE!

did 2 lap and realized how bad i realy needed to change out my rotors and pads :nice:

saw the cop car and stayed off for a while ;)

then this guy wouldnt let anyone get past him, or was it that no one could :nice:

    saw a few e30 M3s

    and a few cool tourings

    even rally cars showed up

then some dude was checkin out my car

i opened the door for him

and then all of his e46/e39 M3&M5 buddies ran to my car and took a ton of photos and asked questions :D

took some photos of the track

and then this German car, over take a Italian car

the drive back home was nice

and a friend took some shots of me rolling down on the autobahn

came home tired only to BBQ with the guys and then went to bed. that was my saturday, great time. cant wait for the next weekend. 24hr race, and a new 16GB memory card. here i come!

My life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather i will skid in broadside, thoroughly used up,totally worn out and loudly proclaiming....WOW..What a ride!

I miss Germany. :-( I just need 3K more miles for a free ticket there. Must find another reason to have my job send me to the other coast for some reason!

Nice car, btw. What's the history behind it, ie, how did you end up with that CT plate?

nofink. it was imported by the previous owner back in 95. and ever since then she has been tucked away. i had to do a serious amount of arm twisting and persuasion to get the PO to sell her to me.

Oh, cool. I thought maybe you brought it with you.

When I lived in Hamburg I went on a walk through some neighborhoods I had never been to and found an American repair shop, just like we have our German repair shop specialists here, and in the front lot were a bunch of Pontiac Grand Ams (not even the new style either, lol - I'm talking the one with the chopped rear window), some butt ass 80s caddys, the works. Definitely made you stop and think for a minute about the difference between German styling and American!

Cars were soooo cheap too, but I was there at the tail end of the Deutschmark.
