    New Recaros(Finally)

So I finally got my Recaro Speed seats in recently and got around to taking pictures. It tooks a couple months for the seats to show, but that's another story. Before anyone says anything about how Speeds are no good compared to SRDs I thought I'd toss this out here, from what I can tell it's the same thing. The label on the boxes from Recaro listed the seats as having SR backs with D lower cushions, in other words SRDs(I'll be happy to provide photo evidence tomorrow if people don't believe me). Anyway, here it is....

I also ditched the blacked out kidney grill since it was in bad shape, the chrome is growing on me

Looks great man. Now all you need is suspension...and shifter to go with the seats. You better watch your back.. those are my favorite seats.

I ordered them through Speedware Motorsports, they're local to me. I initially made my order with an employee that was canned shortly there after for a host of screw ups, including my order. In the end the guys there did their best to make things right, and despite the frustrations I'd do business with them again.

I paid retail price for regular Speeds, but got seats with a sub belt hole, part of the deal we worked out after the initial mess. I also purchased brackets from them and a set of Recaro sliders. All totaled up I spent $2600 on the two seats, brackets, harnesses, sliders, driving gloves, and a few other misc items. Expensive, yes. But that was my federal income tax return this year so I didn't miss it much.

Nice seats, but WOW!.......$2600 thats some serious cash for seats.

Do you see plastic bumpers in your future?

That figure is a little misleading, that includes state sales tax at 8.8 or so %. The seats were about 700 ea. Once you add in the other crap the number starts to make more sense.

Not sure why people wouldn't like the Speeds, they are just like you said: basically an SRD take 2. The head rest is taller and the bollsters slightly modified, but other then that, the same seat. Even feel the same when sitting in them ;)

Nice choice, I like the blue stitching on them :)
