I know, that's why im considering dropping all of my good parts into a clean shell. It was very disappointing to clean my car up and it still looks dirty. The car looks like it had a minor front hit before and the battery box is rusted out. At this point i think it may be cheaper to buy a shell then to have a body man clean this car up the way i want it. The car is mechanically sound though, no complaints there except for the subframe and suspension in need of an overhaul. The previous owner did a full rebuild on the motor with performance parts and i picked the car up for less then the cost of even buying the parts. I don't know, we'll see what happens. Vlad has a clean ass 2dr red roller that if i had the money, i would definitely be dropping everything into that.

I hate to be the negative one, because I really hope you do get that car looking nice, but...
everything on that car is misalligned/bent. and you only have 1 cam in your car BTW.

best of luck with the car it is looking better already though. you should spend your time trying to allign everything better, and spray those rockers black.

For tinting the lights, I went to a hobby shop and picked up some R/C car window tint. That, with some clear coat over it looks pretty good.

I'm actually looking for a replacement valance. I've also been toying with the idea of getting a clean shell to drop my motor into. It's also a possibility i'll sell altogether and buy another E30 next year after i save up some good coin.

Take an afternoon with some metalworker's pliers ans straighten out your rear valance. Blast that and those rockers with some black and it'll make it pop even more for only 5.99

I think it turned out nicely, next step i have to red out my tail lights and them smoke them, i also want to smoke all of the side bumper lights. Can anyone reccomend a good tint spray?

Update: fixed the speed sensor, tach and radio. 2 blown fuses, now the temp gauge isnt moving hmmm ill check some things tomorrow. Any ideas?

Thanks for the comments guys, hopefully i'll get out of work ealy enough tonight that i can start cleaning the engine bay and throw some pics up of the before and after. I can't wait to get rid of all the dirt and yellowness

Yea i need to wash the car lol I will be detailing the entire car when i start washing down the engine bay.

As for the headers i don't know, the previous owner put them on. I bought the car with a fair amount of modifications done to it already. I will eventually go turbo so they don't really matter.

The car needs alot of TLC, but i got an awesome deal on it and it's fun to do everything and look at the finished product. I will definitely be building this car for a few years. For now im focusing on basic appearance and getting all the mechanicals worked out then the serious modding will start. Plus i need serious $$ for serious modding.
