Picked up a new daily, M3 content

Definitely not as fun as the e30 and amazingly enough I had far more compliments with the e30 then I have with this. I kinda miss the thumbs up and the light flashes from fellow BMWs.

How are you liking it besides not being an E30? SMG and all. How much did you pay if you don't mind me asking? I know they are getting pretty reasonable.

If you have not gotten the SMG firmware updated head over to a Dealer and get that performed, solves some SPORT mode related issues on the SMG Cars.

They are fast, handle very well, but are a tad on the chubby side. They are great daily drivers though.

Excellent choice-I have owned a number of non-M E46's and they were all great cars. Good friend of mine has an E46 M3 which I have driven extensively, and I love driving it. Has just enough 'raw' feel to it so that it is very fun and involving to drive, yet has just enough refinement so that it can easily be driven daily and remain comfortable.

I still need to put one of those steering wheels in my E39 M5....

Stock for stock they are set up very well from the factory. Besides the weight, of course. Congrats!!

Great car! Are they still coming down in price now with everybody wanting a newest 135/335/v8m3?

Yeah they are heavy, but so is every car short of Elise lol, but great overall package. Luxury, performance, comfort, style.

Uhm, where the hell is the clutch pedal? Maybe I'm just blind but it appears to be lacking.

The SMG is not that bad once you figure out how to drive it, and can be pretty damn fun. Zero performance loss as well.
