    my baby bimmer

..just thought since I'm new to this board I'd share a pic of my little e30.

I dont' drive it much, actually only about 1 week per year lately...but I really wish I had more time for it. I purchased it while in University after I had my 86 325es, and promised I'd get myself another one that I'd use as a summer car exclusively.

I've had it since Mar 03 and I honestly don't think there's another car that suites me better, it's like an extension of all your sences...really quite sublime.

I've done everythign mechanically to it to keep it running and driving just as it was back in 88. The paint and body are mint with not a trace of rust.

    opinions are welcome :)

those cloth sport seats were horribly hard to find in an e30 325is, as most are all leather

              yes, yes !

actually, i bought my e30 out of Edmonton while I was still living in Regina. The car now lives in Sask. but I'm here in Calgary cursed to drive a 97 Escort as a daily means of transportation :(

That is one seriously hot E30. Even just a mild drop would make that thing perfect. Something like H&R sports would give you a decent drop, without sacrificing ride comfort.

So what the hell, a pristine little E30 sitting at home while you drive an Escort?

Fuck, man, pitch the pile of Ford (which means "fucker only runs downhill") and find another E30 to mod the hell out of and bomb back and forth to work.

In the meantime, did you ever think about using a set of M3 springs on there? Tiny drop, looks like it was meant to be that way, and of course, no mods to the car. Add a set of urethane control arm bushings and the car will feel 100X more stable, predictable adn have better braking, too.

We are talking about like $175 UDS total here, not big fat money.

Another thing you might wanna think about is getting whatever the hell that deck is out of there and getting a "Business Class CD43" CD player, something that looks right, unlike that unsightly thing that fills the stereo hole.

Those are way more expensive these days, like $350ish.

It would be really cool to see a set of some period specific wheel on there, but the Borbets (IIRC) do look OK, but a set of 4 lug T-Stars would just rock socks, man.

Incredibly cool car, being so pristine and all.

                      Welcome to R3V.
