    My E30's intro to R3V

    Hello all!

I am have been a frequenter of E30Tech for a few years, and decided to finally join the E30 Forum which I most often go to when searching for just about any topic.

Many will undoubtedly know me from there, but many that aren't there won't.

So I'll just say that, it is finally good to be here! ;)

These are the latest photos of my E30 from Saturday the 28th:

I am rockin' the weaves until I gather enough money for something else

The only car I have ever seen that can pull off the dipped look.

    Well done.

        Nice example you've got there.
Is that a moonroof or just a normal sprayed panel? Been trying to find a moonroof for myself for ages. :(
Like the 'weaves, been considering doing something similar with mine, just a little lighter on the centres. The lip isn't polished or anything is it?
        Looking good. :)

Wow I actually like the twisties on your car!

Car looks sick man, but much better with the wheels in your sig.

I personally think smoked ellips+black kidneys+smoked mhw tails would put it all together nicely.

          Either way good work!

              Thanks guys

Unfortunately it isn't a moon roof; My original started to do the rust thing, so I ordered a new one and it came in that semi-glass black primer color. I like it so much that I kept it like that. However, once I get a few painting things done, I will have the shop put real semi-gloss black on it and clear coat it to finish it off once and for all.

About the weaves, I would definitely recommend going with a gunmetal, I sometimes wish I did, but the black kinda fits too. No, the lip isn't polished.

I agree. Some angles, the 14" wheels bother the hell out of me. I am looking for a nice 17" mesh-style wheel with about a 20mm offset to finish it off nicely. I had Sportmax 501's on there for a few months, but those got real old real fast.

Yeah, probably going matte gunmetal on mine, the thought of matte black plays in my head though. I think it would be a bit much on my lazurblau car though.

I think a set of blacked out kidneys would finish your car off nicely. :)

If they were the 16X8's w/et15, then I don't know why you got rid of them. I personally love that wheel plus fitment, but that's me.

I know right? WTF is wrong with me?

                          They aren't polished.

To tell the truth, I did the ol' Rustoleum method on these weaves. First sprayed with RoL metallic silver, then taped the lip off and used RoL gloss black, then clear coated everything.

They were 15x8's and while I sometimes miss the dish, I get over it quick once I realize that there is something better out there.

I still even am considering the 006''s in a 17"...IMO, the best looking wheel Sportmax made (not saying too much lol), and doesn't break the bank either. However, the multilug kills it for me.

                          My other choices are;
                          Keskin KT4, 17x8
                          Rial Nogaro,17x8
                          XXR 006, 17x8 (17x9?)
                          ESM 004, 17x7
                          DZ Exclusiv, 17x8.5

Most of those are crazy amounts of money...money I can't spend in the near future, what with dumping tons of money into the E36 this summer.

Wow, 1st car that pulls off the dipped look quite nicely. I was looking at the 006's but only if I could somehow fabricate a center cap for the wheels cause the multilug kinda kills it for me.
