It's actually the headlight aiming system... or at least the controls to it. Andre didn't have the whole system... which is a smart move because none of them work. They were actually hydraulic instead of electric.

I'm guessing it's been dyed, or sprayed with some kind of vinyl paint/dye stuff.

I love the chrome rings around the instrument gauges. Im gonna have to buy those, and a new cover because mine is cracked
