Does that cut down on night driving?

I would do both and maybe a bit lighter on the headlights. What did you use to do the tinting?

no the light goes right through when you get up really close you can still kinda see the red if you put more than three or four coats on then it starts to not let light pass through i still have to put a clear coat on it

I guess spray paint is one way to smoke the high beams. Personally, I would have gone the Hella smoked way, with the custom pieces installed, but that's just me. Not bad though.

                        ugly and not as functional!
chrome trim around the 740 headlights?

Do yourself a favor and go to a long strip of road and park your E30 at the end, go to the other with the 740 and accelerate as fast as you can and nail the E30 head on. Be sure to have your seat buckle undone and see if you can fly into the E30 like on GTA4. This would be much more preferred than your current situation, and you won't have to worry about your bad choice in mods being an issue any longer.
