Hellaflush: Should I apply?

The wheels are going to repainted due to some solvent pop in the clearcoat, but are going to be repainted the same color and satin finish, just a different brand of clear.

Options:
1. Go with 215/40s all around like on the front (225/45s on the rear just to get me by) and leave front ET alone, +10mm out back and call it a day.

2. Go with 205/40s all around, 5-8mm spacer in front and 15mm out back.

Oh and I will also be lowering it another .5-1".

Do whatever you need to get them flush with the fenders. With or without having to stretch.

I know its not hellaflush now, I was getting opinions on if I should even do it with these wheels. I wish people understood context.

Huh, everyone seems to dislike the wheels.

Guess I'll just stick with the 215/40s space out the rear wheels and lower the car even more.

I was unsure about going undersized and spaced out because of the convex design of the spokes.

Depends on the offset and size/width of the wheels.

It is about a ET03-5 offset different from front to rear. For example, ET10(Front) and ET08-5(Rear)would flush the fenders, but it depends on the width of the wheel.

Do whatever rides the best, and looks best. IF this is your DD, dont sacrifice. It would probably look better with spacers though to make them flush..

^Yeah I think the front is close, and since I'm going to go lower, I don't want to worry about banging the fenders with the wheels turned.

But the back definitely needs to be spaced out some. Even if it isn't completely flush it looks really tucked up in there right now.

But I found a guy that does custom spacers and will make them with a hub lip for my wheel with a one-day turnaround. $65 each for custom 11mm spacers isn't too bad I think.

17 x 8 ET 25, I thought the difference was closer to 8 based on Ericks fitment.

My other thought was no spacers and 235/40s but I think the tires would actually stick outside the fenders or be super close based on how those 215/40s sit.

Those are the knock off Works right?

Poke out the rears, stretch some tires, a lil more camber and a tad lower and I'm sure you'd be approved.



That car got approved and it is ballerific but it could be better.

Are you going to apply at the event in October?

I got them from "rwdrift" aka Erick awhile back. Unfortunately they got a little banged up during shipping so I had them painted satin black since no one could come close enough to the factory gunmetal finish for my liking.

Between the wheels and refinish work I think I've got about $1700 in them.
