    My M3 Suspension Swap

Finally got some decent pictures of my car after doing the E30 M3 5 lug swap with Koni SAs and IE Stg. 3's with 10mm front drop hats. Don't have a lot to say other than it feels great to be driving an e30 with a tight suspension again (been about 4 years).

    Onto the pictures!

Wow... That is an absolutely PERFECT stance and wheel setup. That is a CLEAN example of how an E30 is done RIGHT. Props my friend, good work.

Your stance kicks all sorts of ass. Those wheels are awesome too; understated, yet pimp.

Err, did you have to roll the fenders at all? And what tires are you using? And what's up with the outboard rear muffler hanger? It's the wrong kind!

Great stance. Where did you get the 10mm dropped hats?

I did have to roll the fenders because I would scrape the sidewall in the rears terribly over any bumps. I'm only running 205/50/16s right now because its all I had laying around until I can buy some new tires.

Yeah, that hanger was put on by the guy who did my exhaust work first. He did a terrible bubble-gum tack job using the stock pipes from the cat back... I wasn't pleased. A couple days ago I went to a much better guy and had new pipes put in from the cat back and its perfect now with all new mounts. You can sort of see the new pipes under the car in the last pic.

Thanks for the compliments. It has all new suspension bushings, mounts, tie rods and soon to have new control arms, M3 offset CABs and M3 endlinks.

I got them from a friend who got them used on bimmerforums I believe. They're originally from Bekkers but they're NLA.

if and when i go five lug, these will be my rims of choice.

i absolutely LOVE these rims on an E30.

good stuff man, how long did it take for you to find complete E30 M3 5-lug bits?

e38 16" style 5's are pretty much the only reason i would do 5 lug.

                      looks badass!
