After tuning the turbo M20 I bought in December I quickly found that I just don't like turbos. Also, one cylinder was damaged in some way, from what I thought was running without a proper tune. After getting the engine out, it turns out the wrist pin had come out and there was a 3-4mm groove cut into the cylinder wall.
Anyways, I had already decided to go back to a stroker since I just loved my 3.0L cab in Singapore. I chose the 3.1L kit from IE this time around and decided to do more with the head. This one will get a Schrick 288/288, larger exhaust valves, new & stronger rockers, port was already done in a past rebuild, along w/ a 3 angle.
Oh ya one more thing I'm adding this time, and it just arrived muahahhahaha..........
On top of it all will be an MAF with SMT6 to tune...........can't freakin wait!! The 3.0L was a blast in my cab but this 2dr is soooo much lighter and that cam w/ the MAF & dbilas is just gonna be brilliant. Calvin's setup in KL was much like this one and I always regretted not building the head more & of course not going with the dbilas when he did. I'm so glad to be going back to a stroker M20 :D
As for the cab, it is about to be de-registered in Singapore and hopefully a pal will break it down and load a container with everything except the body. Once it's all here I'll get a donor cabriolet and transplant everything....can't wait for this either ;)
