Those wheels look like the have white wall tires from a distance.

How do they look without the covers?

They're called M-System I's and the Throwing Stars are called the M-System II's. Without either of the caps, they look a little something like this.



The main purpose of the M-System I is to cool the brakes, which in any E34, built up quite a lot of heat. Refer to below:

Great looking Alpine M5. Dont see those in white very often. I like the wheels. If you ever want to get rid of the wheels (or just the covers) let me know, I'm local! I'd love to have the System 1's on my E30.
