Update:
Haven't done too much besides some maintenance. M3 control arm bushings, Red line fluid in the tranny and diff, and engine is now running synthetic oil.
Car is winter mode right now rolling on Blizzaks. I need to straighten out my valance and get an IS lip with splitter. It was nice out today so i gave it a quick wash and wax
As it gets warmer i'll send the car out to be wet sanded and polished, front struts are dead so i'll also be doing a complete suspension overhaul in the near future (Springs, struts, shocks and all bushings).

Bumping this with an update, been a few months since an update haven't done much to the car besides some basic maintenance. I also changed the door panels to black. I just ordered some parts and will be installing them in the next 2 weeks depending on when they arrive!
-H&R sports & Bilstein ordered from Turner
-Brake package - Cross drilled rotors, Axxis ultimates, Blue fluid, Stainless steel brake lines ordered from Turner
-Upgraded tranny mounts and diff mount ordered from Bimmerworld
-Stock replacement bits from autohaus AZ: Front strut mounts, sway bar end links, sway bar bushings
-EJNight skid plate
In a few more weeks i'll be ordering all the rear bits and pulling the rear subframe to replace all the bushings.
Edit: Will update again with pics when parts arrive and they start making their way onto the car!

Bump for an update, haven't updated in a long time. December 25th 2009 the engine burned out a rod bearing and had a terrible knocking in the bottom end. The car sat for a few months while i was deciding what to do (wanted to do an M50 or other swap)
In the mean time i picked up a cheap Civic to DD:
Which of course i cleaned up and modded a little hehehe
Then i sold the civic and picked up this 4 door since i missed driving an E30 so much and was still up in the air about what i wanted powering my zinno:
A few weeks after cleaning it up and doing some maintenance the trans blew out, the car was then sold to Vlad to help pay to rebuild my zinno.
At this point with no DD i decided to just go the easy route and keep it M20. After sourcing a used, good condition bottom end from Levent at Guten parts and buying all the needed seals, gaskets etc. from Blunt the bottom end replacement (among other things) began:
Stripping the m20 down to be pulled:
Decided to come from the bottom: (Special thanks to Trey who came out to help after i posted a request on the forum)
Head is clean, was rebuilt by prev owner:
And this was the piston with the bad bearing, when rotating the engine the piston had the slightest amount of free play up and down:
And so the tear down began and i decided to paint some parts while i had stuff apart:
IE headers
Valve cover
Was glad to find my JB racing flywheel and spec stage 2 clutch in excellent condition, considering i learned to drive 5 speed on them lol
Wish i had took more pics while i was in the process, but it's one of those things you're either too busy and forget or too dirty to want to handle the camera.
Along with all the maintenance items, i also got a KA motors intake, rebuilt 19lb injectors, MarkD chip and EJnight skid plate.
Alive again!!
Since i had it running again i decided to have Levent work his magic on my cluster:
Also got some winter wheels from Levent:
And as she sat last week:
Currently working on getting this put on:
