    New ix

Just bought an '89 ix with 136k miles for my son. He's 16 and feels he's ready for the road,so I thought an all wheel drive e30 with auto tranny would be a good fit for him.The P.O. is a good friend of mine who did most of the maintenance work himself.

A lot of options were added to this car including, smoked euro smileys, maplight rear view mirror,13 button obc, crack free dash, wire cupholder and power sunroof. The car also has an interior light delay set-up.Not sure if this was done at the factory or not.

So far I've added a center armrest and a collapsible cupholder from cupholder.com.Future mods will be a leather interior and 16" wheels.
I've driven this car three times since I bought it nine days ago,and it feels very steady on the highways, albeit not as peppy as my 318 vert.New plugs and an air filter may take care of that problem.

My son seems to like it also.In his second time ever driving,he impressed the hell out of me by cooly navigating a narrow street that had some idiot parked with her door wide open, while a car was passing in the opposite direction.I guess all those years of playing Gran Tourismo and Need for Speed is finally paying off.

                He's still in shock.Buying the car was a good deal I could'nt pass up.Since I'm divorced from his mother,she still doesn't know.When he gets his license,then i'll tell her........Over the phone.

do not let your son use this website or he will:
                      1. go to meets when he should be studying.
                      2. spend every penny on upgrades.
                      3. use said upgrades for on the road crazyness.
