    sumyungguy pt. II

    And it begins

92 318is, interior is in amazing condition and it only has 140k on it. I talked my buddy into buying it a few months ago and helped him choose suspension, wheels, and also fix any little issues it had. I basically put this car together and it was a deal I couldnt pass it up when he talked about selling.

    It has:
    H&R cup kit
    16" style 5's
Sparco Champion Limited Edition steering wheel
Fan delete w/ 16" electric fan

    Recent maint:
    New clutch
    New brakes and fluid
    New power steering lines

    Plans:
None as of yet, maybe throw my Recaro SE in.

Ill get some more shots of it this weekend, some of you may recognize the car as the Autoblog: Project Track Slut.

        Nice pick up!

Still got the E30? I saw your post about how you wanted to sell the E30 to get that.

        RIP

e36's are the ghey-- but I am driving one for right now too. my 150hp 320i feels like a slug, I can just imagine how uneventful of a drive that thing can be.
          looks o.k. though.

I would generally agree on the ghey comment about e36's, but I really like this specific one. I would take this over an e36 M3 any day. Ive been driving an m42 e30 for a while and lack of power doesnt bother me just means brake less in the corners. Ive come very accustomed to momentum cars, I could buy a car with more power, but I dont think Id have anymore fun driving it. Besides, Im an engine bulder when Im not shooting, and used to be a performance tech, I have the ability to make HP at my fingertips.

              Im not done with e30's, after I get a house I want to start on a e30 M3 with a s42 spec'd m42 :-D.

Oh shit, I guess you have been or need to start talking to Daniel (DCColgrove)

I met him @ bimmerfest in may, talked him up about my swap that I was planning, and he started talking about an s42. I want...

Thanks! Oh Im not going anywhere, r3v is by far the best car forum period.

For that shot I used a "rig", which consists of suction cups and a 12ft boom off the car. Use a slow shutter and slowly move the car (I was actually pushing it). Take different exposures and bring them together in photoshop while also removing the rig.

Just had a Evo X MR shoot go live, In the Autoblog Garage: 2008 Mitsubishi Evolution X MR.

mus have been a very wide lens to capture the car like that form 12 feet away. What lens did you use.

Its a 17-40L on a 5d but that shot was at 24mm, so not super wide. 12ft boom with about 3ft of it over the car, 9ft is still pretty car way.

24mm on the FF 5d is like 17mm on a crop.
