Loving the E34 M5, not so sure about the silver M-System's though. Your 535i would look baller status with some 16" E38 Style 5's.

Nice E34 pair. My folks are into E34's as well.

Yeah I actually saw a 535 at a local shop and was so curious as to why it looked so good, it had the 16" and they look gorgeous

Meh, if you look at the way they age, you'll opt for the former. My parents had a E39 528i Touring new, and I loved the ammenities (sp? ead) of that thing, but after seeing a few well-worn models, the E34 wins me over. Build quality suffers in the E39, even bearing in mind the E34's delaminating door panels and "drop ceilings."

yeah pics are old as shit, the m-pars are reps and are in the process of being refinished, but they are heavy as fuck and i'm undecided if thats what i want to spent a shitload of $$$ putting tires on or not

i'm only up at NEIT on mondays; auto building in the morning and CT building at night

                  My former M5:

Great car, but I wanted something more modern. The E39 540 sport 6-speed with a few mods did the trick. While it doesn't have the zing of the S38, it has a lot more torque and it's overall a lot nicer to live with.

No kidding, I'm basing my opinion off of many E34's and E39's I have seen. The build quality of the E39's isn't bad, but I would honestly say the E34's is better.

They didn't make an E39 with an S38 either, so that's another strike against it. :D

                          I've always liked E34s.

                          Needs a drop however.

Both generations have their issues, but overall, I think the E39 holds up better. My experience owning just one of each is certainly not scientific, but my impression is that they learned a lot about E34 durability issues that were resolved on the E39.

On the other hand, neither hold up nearly as well as the E28 (front-end bushings excluded). I had a 535iS way back when. Tough as nails, those things.
