Do you know how many more of the Hartge and Alpina like yours were produced?

Tim was a service guy at JMK BMW in springfield, NJ. I believe he sold the car to someone in Florida?

Tim Jones? I have been talking quite a bit to Mike who bought Tim's car. It is an inspiration to me for sure! Beautiful!

If you are referring to the pillar that goes to the roof, naa. I have one of the best painters in the biz on my side. You'll never notice. I am just painting the side of the car for now though. The color match won't be 100% but the average eye will never notice. I'm planning on painting the rest of the car sometime this winter. I just want it to be "not wrecked" anymore, its my DD. I am buying enough paint to spray the entire car, so matching it later won't be an issue. I'd like to get both of the cars looking good and driving well so I am doing it in stages. I bought a gallon of Glasurit 285-60 primer which should get me through both complete cars. I plan on using Glasurit products all the way through both projects. This stuff is far from cheap and I am not rich! I wish I could afford to just tear down both cars and go to town but I just can't afford it. Baby steps.

Ask and you shall recieve. Just took these. The Hartge is all primed and I'll start blocking on it soon. I do have a guy who already came out and traced my stripes for the car. He will have them ready to go when I am.

I just did an oil change on the Alpina and it was the first time I have really driven it since I got it. What a fun car! It feels nearly as fast as the M6 but it doesn't make a big production of it like 6er did. Nice smooth power and a calm but great sound. I'm surprised by how small it feels. The PO told me he weighed the car and it was only 2800 lbs. It feels like it! I love the way the seats feel, I love the gearbox, I love everything! I can't wait to get it all dialed in. Next summer will be fun!

Did you ever find someone to make new stripes for the Hartge?
