    Finally got my B&G's on

    Hey y'all
Last week Jordan and I finally got the chance to put in my KYB's and B&G springs. Less than 2 hours start to finish. Damn, what a difference! Blown out 230,000 mile bilsteins seem to lack the whole wheel control thing. The car came down more than I wanted, but still looks pretty hot and it hasn't scraped on anything yet, not even the air dam. The drop was supposed to be 1.6" front and rear, but ended up more like 2.1 on the front, 1.8 in the rear. Maybe the math freeks could tell me exactly by looking at the photos.

Jordan took pics of the wheel gap running a 205/50/16 on rice wheels

If you are looking for a comfortable ride with excellent handling, I can heartily recommend the B&G's. The KYB's are obviously weaker, cheaper, just kind of crappier than the bilsteins, but are a huge improvement in my case.

    Hooray!
Thanks, Jordan. See you when you get back!

Looks like they got pulled by the tires at one point.

nah...just body damage from the clod who owned the thing before. You would not believe how much hassle the thing has been...today, driving from Corvallis to Vancouver, I was trailing oil smoke and going through a quart of oil every 40 miles (!).
Turns out is mostly the oil pressure sending unit...steady drip at idle, I have no clue what it does at 3,000 RPM! The bitch is that I just had the first oil change done at Sears...using a Mann filter and Castrol GTX. I have never ever paid a shop to change any fluid in any car I have ever owned! Tomorow AM it will get a new one. At least it will drip less.

I have only had the car 3 weeks or so. I have spent a couple of hundred on maintainence parts and quite a few dozen hours of work. I still can't believe I bought a car with 230,000 miles on it.

I have never loved a car more...e30's RULE!

          Pics coming fairly soon.

big change. I was thinking of getting rid of my GC's and getting some B&G 2.4 drop all around.

Rayz, I would definately see if you can find someone who has had them before. My kit called for a 1.6" drop all around. I got a bit over 2" in the front, 1.8" in the rear.
If they are that off on mine, your car may be sitting on the bump stops!
