Kevin, it is nowhere near the quality of work you do, but really soft black leather on the bolsters, generic black weave cloth on the centers of stock Sports...but I love the way it feels and looks.

Door panels coming soon, I had planned on pics/writeup

Sounds cool similar to these? these are vinyl bolsters though. Did you sew them yourself? For panels let me suggest wrapping abs and gluing them in your panels, unless you want to sew them in.

I still like the first Mtech kit I ever did, but I do like my thick top stitching better
Look how all the top and bottoms tri-colors line up, guess I got lucky when cutting them out............lol

Kevin, since I have yet to see an E30 door panel that has not de-glued in like 15 years, around the edges...drives me nuts.

I am going to cut the entire center panel out and re-glue the edge of the vinyl, wrapping it behind the panel so it stays tight forever and ever.

Then, I am going to do a new center section in 1/4" MDF, wrapped in the same black cloth as the seats, lightly padded in like a 1/8" open cell kind of thing, maybe even cotton batting...but I wanted to make 3 lines of stitching that parallels the door pulls. I had planned on GM style panel retainers since I have a box or three lying around, just making my own retainer system.

I don't sew. My seats were done by Edgar, my crazy Mexican buddy.

The MTech seats you show there are just stunning, man. The stripe lineup, the color, the style of stitching (mine are French stitch too), just everything you show is awesome.

Thanks bro I appreciate the kind words, I am going on my 5th year since starting sewing and it has been a fun ride. If you do the panel as described, I suggest using 1/8" panel and 1/8" headliner material. Only reason is the 1/4" + the padding is too thick for the handle trim rings and they will not slide in. Check out the inserts here I used 1/8" masonite and padding and the trim rings went on but then the tabs broke. This was 3 years ago so I have learned what not to do.

So it is obvious to me that you have a rear M3 seat pattern, so tell me again why cant we redo my rear seat?
