Here's an idea,Oh I see what you did there. So what Spastic dwarf did wasn't redefining his E28 it was merely uglyfying it. Thanks for the correction. Obviously the Canadian VS American dictionarys are quite different.
And Charlie that Vortex stuff is hilarious. The local VW guys think its a bit poseurish. But what do I know. I own a 2002 and a beetle and want to get rid of their rust.. Not add to it.
1 drop the tude
2 get rid of the VW (trust me)
3 Canadian vs American dictionaries are VERY different.
4 continue to put your flag on you backpack to make sure everyone knows you're a Canadian.
TD nice pics.
Ricksloan Nail<-------head.
I would assume that by Kswiss' comments, my car is ugly as well... considering, I saw things I liked and tried to embody them in my car...
So, for that matter, JAMES' car is ugly b/c it didn't start as an mtech1, MR ANDERSON'S car is ugly b/c he has remembers, kopi's are posing, TEEJ'S tstar reps are lame b/c they are copies, DILLSNIK, you may as well give up, REGNU, yer screwed b/c you got out of the dub scene and are rocking parts that have already been bolted onto an e30...
WOW K, in a couple posts you've pretty much summed up r3v! No wonder you don't post here often! ;)Last edited by delatlanta1281; 09-29-2008, 08:14 PM.Yours truly,

Whatever, No attitude here. I really don't care what a bunch of r3vers think. Posting your stuff up on the internet just asks for comments from the peanut gallery. And in this case I'm in it. That being said i'm all about coherence and cleanliness. Something that Dwarfs e28 lacks. It looked hot before, this new incarnation(Or Redefinition I guess in you 'merican terms) not so much in my eyes. James' car, my e30 will all look good in the next 5 years. I doubt dwarf will keep his e28 looking the same for that long. It will grow old and I spend enough time fighting rust on my 2002's and beetle that it isn't that cool.
A good look is one that can stay the same for ages and you can look back on and still admire. I know for most of you fanboys you think "Well I should be able to change it up!" Not everybody likes doing that or has the bankroll or the will to. Theres more to life than e30's and such.
I won't ditch the beetle, emotional attachment to it...Comment

Damn it!! I'll never be a cool kid on R3V now.
This thread makes me feel like I am back amongst my vwvortex buddies in the MKIV forum, how comforting.....John

you gave it an identity crisis. It's got wheels that were probably more than the car was to buy, tons of money in the suspension and (I'm assuming) engine and maintenance, then you give it a rusty hood and a roof rack with some trinkets on it and call it "redefinition". It doesn't know what it wants to be. So, rock some widened steelies and rust out the trunk lid (they can't be too hard to find either) and take the bumpers off, or make wood bumpers, or something. But right now it looks half-assed, like some abercrombie model walked off the set, threw on some boots and grabbed a shotgun, and wants to go hunting.sigpic89 M3Comment

Good point about the mkIV forum....
Spastic, If you like it, keep it. I think it looks good, when you change it to something else that will look good as well I am sure. Heaven forbid someone should try something they are interested in right? I'm going to go change my alternator now, everyone ok with replacing a BMW part with another BMW part? Or is that too unoriginal? ;)Yours truly,
Rich
