In truth you should either core out the closet dowel you used for the bars and insert a steel rod, or, replace with chrome closet dowel that is preped and treated and painted, there is too much bow in the wood there and it looks silly.

I'll more then likely be the one that go's against the grain on this one. So here you go, I don't like it. And i'm not even a purist.

Sorry, but I don't like it either. I also never liked the lack of bumper trim you've had (or not had?) on your car.

In the end, though, it's your car and that's all that matters. I give you mad props for doign it though, and I certainly respect it.
