while i think you have done a nice job, i think this "look" has been beaten to death.

Eh. Maybe. It's something I wanted to try, and "played out" or not, if it looks good, why not?
I've never seen a rusty hood in person; I know they're more common in other large cities, but changes are most people have never seen a "hoodride" styled car out on the street.
And I've never seen it done to a BMW.

I never understood how making things look bad to be different is a "style." Usually I absolutely hate this look and thinks its a cry for attention made by people who cant afford or don't want to make a car look proper.

That said, for some reason I'm kind of liking your car. I dunno about re-defining e28, but something about it looks very function over form, like the car has seen lots of things in its time. Nicely executed.

sweet! thanks a lot man. so will that keep oxidizing? will you end up with a bunch of wholes and bubbles in a while? it looks really good. i might go for this look. hope you don't mind.

It will at least a year if not several before any real damage is noticeable.
I don't care if you do it... I'm not the originator of the concept.. I just brought it to the BMW scene.

Can you post like an overhead shot of the hood or just like the hood raised? I would like to look at the gorgeous looking patterns made by the rust stains better.

                          The Dubber approach to cars:

                          Find a completely practical vehicle,
Try to make it as nonfunctional as possible,
Pull into a dark parking garage,
Experiment with angles until you find a sexy downward and 27 degree clockwise shot

Ruh roh, Heeter doesn't like your car. Guess that means it's all over.

Didn't you know, Spastic? Cars are only supposed to be used for racing, not putting your own style to and enjoying.

My G6 is perfectly good at going from A to B... and it wasn't bought for racing.

These retards are fighting against practicality to fit in. Wow, cool... stretched tires, rubber band tires, stupid camber, rusted hood, riding on bumpstops.

What's next? Rerouting your windshield washer fluid sprayers to make it look like your car is peeing (and giving up the ability to keep the front window clean of bugs) ???

Good god. If you're that full of shit, can't you just go to a children's hospital and dump it all over that? They'll give you a bunch of attention, too. You'll love it.
