Not my thing at all. Different strokes for different folks, but you did have a nice e28, with nice wheels, then you slap on undersized tire to be oh-so-cool, build a roof rack that's flimsier than the box kite I made when I was 7, and to top it all off, you take a decent hood and actually put work into making it a giant, corroding ulcer on the car.

Not like that's going to change what you do with this car, hell I bet this even eggs you on, I guess you'll keep it up for the nut-swingers...

Ignorance is bliss, is it not?
I've had stretched tires on this car for a year now, and only now is it oh-so-gay. The hood was already rusted, and I sated I still have my original one. I took this one off a rusted parts car. And lastly, the roof rack supports over 100lbs without wobbling.

Not that you care... chances are, you're hating just to hate, and you'll look for another reason to tell me I've ruined a good car.

It's just really not my style, and I guess it's just that I haven't expressed my opinion on the car until recently. Thing is, I guess I have a soft spot for a nice, clean,black/tan 535i manual, and it was nice when you first got it, but your tastes and mine soon diverged.

I really wish you could make more of the roof rack than what you've done, it may be your intent, but it seems strange to spend all that time lining up the boards only to leave exposed hardware and not countersink the boards for a simmer profile.

I've never been a fan of stretched tires.

I cant understand how you don't have the time to line up your bumper, but can get a whole photoshoot in and post-process it all for forum whoring purposes.

But it's your car, not mine.

We've just got different priorities, I guess.

I don't have the tools to cut off the extra hardware and such, but it's in the works. I didn't sink the boards on purpose. The crossmember allows for a place to hook bungees and keep stuff from sliding.

And I haven't fixed the bumper because I don't see it as an issue. Sure, it'd look better if I fixed it, but I'm lazy.

Will you please take a photoshoot with the clean hood, bumpers, and no roof rack on, so some of us can appreciate the godlyness of the wheels some more?

I don't mind the look so much, it's just that I got used to seeing your uber clean e28, and now it's all rugged looking.

Fair enough. I get geeky about hidden hardware. Any plans to make it any faster, or are you putting all the "faster" into the e36?
