Well it's not stock as it is now, but eventually it well get "faster". The e36 needs to get done and reliable before I spend money on the motor, but I have a second M30 in the garage awaiting a holset turbo build.

Now those are some junkyard parts that look like a good buy for this car, something to get it back on target.

I love the rat rod look. I commend you for having the balls to do it.

              Example #1
The true rat rod "look" comes from mimicking a time when cars just went fast with or without brakes. Today, the cars that can pull it off are almost from that time period (well, not really) and it's just cool to see them even on the road.

              Example #2
Here is one of my favorite e28's in example number 2. Your car started out with some very similar styling/ performance modifications.

The real problem is the two worlds/ styles just do not mix. It's like pickles and chocolate milk... Ever combine the two? Don't. It sucks. If you're going to go and do something 'redefining', then you are going to have to work at it. You can't just see what someone else has already done, mix the two and BAM! You have created something new or have done it first. You have to work for originality. If you have created something truly original, people will stand behind you. That brings us to example #3

^ I'm loving the leather hood straps, so old school dope. I have doubts that his 356 started out as a good condition car in which he replaced nice body panels with rusty ones.

Dude, you're slipping. Rusty hoods are out, Rhino lining is "in".

I don't even want to think about how heavy that is. I saw a black rhinolined truck the other day, and it made me miss my '79 suburban. IMO, that look is perfect for trucks, but cars?... meh.
Oh, and the copper car? E28 is coming soon... (NOT copper)

Yeah, rhino lining your vehicle: great in theory, but usually poor in exceution.
