I did buy the car with the swap. I had wanted an s14 originally but in some sense I'm glad my car is swapped. I love power so in that sense the swap is a given, but I really needed a car that was reliable. I'm not saying that the s14 isn't, just saying that since I spent almost all of my money on this car that I wouldn't be able to cover some of the more expensive things if they came up. I'd still love to build a 2.5 motor though and take it back to it's orig heritage, but again lol $$$$
The e36 was such an amazing car. Did everything so well and it was my dd for a long time. The color combo really made that car though, and I still only know of one other one like it in the states. I will miss that car forever, but if I didn't sell it I wouldn't have my e30 so I'm happy. The e30 is a much more fun car, and being that I have my truck this car only comes out on the weekends which makes it that much more exciting to get into.
Mariano, I've gotta say that I've always loved your car! really well done and a fantastic example of an M3!
OMFG I love that color combo on that E36. Imola on Modena Interior. That is sex.
Mariano
That is a seriously gorgeous color combination. I normally don't like vaders, but I really like them in that color. They look much more high-class, like something you'd see in a Ferrari or an Aston.
Did you by any chance do a photo shoot with someone by the name Konky on here? If so, I think I drooled over your car for a few months when it was my background. I absolutely love it, and would love for my car to eventually look similar to yours (with the s14 still intact, though I don't think I'd race you.)

Hey no worries man. I completely understand the reasons people have for swapping out the engine. And thanks for the compliments.
That E36 M3 looks like a special order. That looks amazing, but the E30 look better, but i would'nt switch the interior on the car. i would put it back to original black leathers.
what would people think if I did a single wiper conversion to it? I'm planning on blacking out the headlights and then filling in the bumper strip and maybe molding the spoiler and vents into the bumper. But I'm really torn on the wiper... anyone?
Car looks clean though. I agree that interior is kinda weird though.
Looks like it's in good hands though! Hope to see more from ya soon!
edit: Two things I noticed, don't know if anyone else posted it... You're missing the black tape in the front, and it doesn't look like that grill badge is OEM. That's just me, not that it's a big deal though ;)

You know my favorite combo of all time on an e36 was black on modena interior. Which is why i'm currently having my black e30's interior made in a color thats very very very close to modena. You should really think about doing that yourself. It will be best of both worlds... red on modena and in an e30 M3.
I stand up, pull my dick out, and asked my gf to give me some noggin... Well, she starts laughing at me and I freaked out and ran off and locked myself in a bedroom.

I'm sorta torn on the tape. I've been thinking I was going to just mold in the front bumper so that where the line is for the tape is smooth. and then maybe mold in the front spoiler and brake ducts.
The grill and headlights are from a euro 323 so I'm not sure if the thinkness of the grill is any different, but I'm not really sure why the previous owner put that one on. This winter when it comes apart everything will hopefully be sorted out on it. I was told the rear badge was off as well, and I looked at the diagram to fix it but it just didn't seem like it was worth it. Can anyone else tell that it's off?
