I sorta skimmed through this, but I think I got the gist of what is going on.

    a) don't buy an e34. They're just large e30s minus the fun. I made that mistake.
    b) fix the car.
    c) continue driving said car. If you're going to step up to something better, make it something way better, not sorta better. Save for an e36/e39/M3 with extra $ to blow on goodies. I went to an e39 after I sold you this car....sure it's big-pimpin, but the driving experience is meh. You're 20, keep driving cars that piss people off.

For a while I was ready to get a different daily driver too, something I didn't need to worry about getting the occasional door ding or rock chip. Then I realized I would not be happy driving anything but an E30, at least in my price range. Everything else seems so dull, soft and boring.

      Keep your car!

Im so tired of working on and hopping up my daily so i can drive to school. Its really difficult to put in two 18+ hour days in the garage every other weekend so i can keep my car where i want it.

        I hear ya.

Im tempted to buy a stockish e30 to drive and a 2002 to play with.
