ok..girls...since i am now sober..let me allow myself to elaborate..I have an 87is with the late model crome bumper and plastic lower spoiler that came with that specific car/model/year/styilng. I am in pursuit of a "splitter" or as some of us call it a lower add on spoiler. The old "skule" is spoiler looks aggressive and I would like to hear your thoughts as to what possible option I might have. Any input would be highly appreciated..

Let's start by figuring out what you have because an 87 would have chrome (diving board) bumpers and the valance for the diving board cars. 88 is when they put diving boards on with the late model (plastic bumper) valance.

Does your car look kinda like this? As far as bumper/valance/etc goes?

There is no reason whatsoever to change an 87 or earlier to plastics. An 88 maybe, but keep the original valence and aluminum. If you want a plastic bumper with a newer valance, buy one.

You say you have an 87 is with late model chrome bumpers. I thought all late model bumpers were plastics. If you do have a chrome plastic bumper. i would like to see that.
