Thanks for sharing. Driving across the country is a blast. I hope to do it all on back roads one day.

thanks for all the replies everyone!! if you haven't done this type of trip you HAVE to, it was my third time and amazing as usual. so much cool stuff to see in this country.

i planned a stop in Cub, Kansas which i had read about in national geographic years ago in the "Zip USA" sectiond. it is a small town of about 90 in the north east section of Kansas, right below Nebraska. it was like stepping back in time!! it was very neat. after that we decided to avoid the main highways and take all the old two lane roads (a good decision) went to Colorado, on US50 then got on the "Million Dollar Highway" aka US550 south to Durango, CO. easily one of the most beautiful places i have ever seen. droe through a bunch of parks in Utah after that and then back on the main highway (15) from Utah to California.

camera's used were a Canon A85 and a Canon Digital Rebel XT and also my friends nice little Sony point and shoot.

here is a link to all the pics (click the pic):

Very nice. Looked like a really fun trip. I like how you brought the bikes along as well. How much did the gas cost you for the whole trip?

                  Nice shots!

I recently drove from Lake Tahoe (NV side) to Missouri and it was my first time driving through Utah. That had to have been some of the most beautiful scenery I've ever witnessed.
